I am working through the interactive shell example. The Prompt built in command returns the following error:

Non-Static field requires a target.

This is being generated in FluentHelper.cs , Class FluentHelpers, Function SetDataMemberValue, line 229 on in the instruction field.SetValue(null, value);

I'm not sure what the correction for this issue is. Please advise.

Sorry, forgot to say it's version 1.4 (stable). I also receive the same error running the prompt command in my own application running against the binaries from NuGet.

This appears to be a compelling tool specifically due to the ComplexProgram style support. I'd really like to use, can you provide some directions?

Closed Issue: ConsoleFx is not localizable [9275]

The current version ConsoleFx 1.0 beta 1 is not localizable. All strings are hardcoded into C# source code. Better practice is to place all strings like messages into resources. This way you can create a satellite assemble for a new locale. Probably I've done this work and next try to post a path (I will do it for the first time, sorry if I will make something wrong). I've done a russian translation as an example.

Great idea for extensibility. I had a similar need but used a slightly different approach. I developed an interface and then created a set of common interfaces that the system could use - in my case these are "tear-off" filter conditions. You can build your own validator by implementing the interface and adding it to the existing list of interfaces. You might also make your base classes sealed so the user must create a derived class and can then add their own interfaces there. Just a suggestion. Looking forward to the next drop.

Instead of adding additional validator classes for these items, we'll add a constants class that contains regular expressions for these common patterns, and these can be used from the RegexValidatorAttribute class.

In addition, we'll make the RegexValidator attribute class unsealed, so others can make specific versions for any pattern.

Use the Environment.GetCommandLineArgs() method to retrieve the command-line arguments, instead of having to pass the args string array to the ConsoleFx entry point.

MatchCollection matches = Regex.Matches(resolvedText, colorMarkupRE);

Inside the method void ConsoleEx.Write(string text, params object[] args), the color markup regular expression is compiled into .NET's inner representation every time Write is called, which is rather inefficient.

private static Regex colorMarkup = new Regex(@"<(\w*):(\w*)>",RegexOptions.None);

would really help. You might even consider using RegexOptions.Compiled at the cost of increased start-up time.

For this overload of the Parse() method, we will not have access to the created T program object. Only the program mode is returned. However, we will need to access the program object in order to read parameter properties, values set in the switch methods, etc.

Can we change the method's signature to:

int CommandLine.Parse<T>(string[] args, out T program)
